Osheaga 2013 Fashion: Sneakers, Sandals & Boots!
Alright ladies and gents, it’s that time of year again for us MTL music lovers…so let’s get cultured, dance and drink – it’s festival season in MONTREAL!
Jazzfest and Osheaga are among my faves and with Osheaga just around the corner CARTE BLANCHE BLOG is here to help with the very important issue of what to wear to such snap worthy events.
For my first post on Osheaga festival fashion let’s start at the bottom (no there will be no Drake pun…so sshh!)
To look towards the future of festival attire I’ll be taking a look back and drawing some inspiration from my favorite bloggers and their outfit posts to help build the perfect look. Now since this is an outdoor festival with walking from stage to stage it’s safe to say heels are out of the question. So for this fashion festival segment lets draw some inspiration from the men in our lives, a little masculine touch in our footwear can put a swag-like spring in our step! And without those pesky heels, which I do LOVE, getting stuck in the dirt we can keep up with those boys rushing to the front row.
Crazy For Dr.Martens
The perfect shoe for Osheaga (tried n tested) is Dr MARTENS! Masculine meets feminine (hello studs and fun colors). They’re the perfect pair to stomp the Osheaga ground, without worrying about dirtying them up…because that’s the point! An added bonus of the industrial boot: when in a huge crowd no need to worry about people stepping on your toes, trust that you’ll be well protected with these boots! Now as I’m sure you’ve realized from my previous posts I’m a big fan of the industrial trend and it seems to be transitioning from furniture and decor to the fashionable streets of Montreal! Red Doc Martens would look great with an all black ensemble adding a fun pop of color – making me feel girly and badass (which of course is the perfect combination!)
My personal choice is the Leyton leather sneakers! I love the color and how they fit and look with jeans or a dress..and of course plaid.
Bringing your beau along? You two can match your boots with a pair of industrial Dr. Marten boots for HIM.
These Montreal IN Fashion’s studded sneaker wedges are from Little Burgundy and they’re amazing!
Oh Isabel Marant, this shoe is more than just a one-season fashion fad: it’s perfect paired with leather pants, short shorts or lose fitting short summer dresses. They’re also perfect for strutting around stage to stage at Osheaga – you’ll always look picture perfect and having your feet thanking you by the end of the night. Super comfy super cute extremely festival proof!
